About Dartmoor Shepherds Huts
_
Our campsite is situated just outside the moorland village
of Holne, situated in the heart of the Dartmoor National Park. Our farm is base
camp from which you can explore Dartmoor as it attaches to beautiful moorland,
where you can find heather covered hills, wild Dartmoor ponies roaming, an abundance
of walking/cycle/horse riding routes for all tastes and abilities and several tors
for viewing or climbing. The breath-taking scenery also is the home of historic archaeology, from remains of stone circles to cairns and ancient clapper bridges that cross streams and brooks; one of which runs down through our camping valley. The area is one of outstanding natural beauty, of which the diverse landscape goes from woodland valleys, reservoirs, caves to open hills.
